Week 17

Week 17

Fruit/Veggie/Item
turnip

Size
Almost 5 inches from head to bottom and weighs 5 ounces according to babycenter.com, but our doctor did measurements this week and our baby weighs 8 ounces! She's big already:)

Baby Changes (Source: BabyCenter.com)
My baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Best Moment this Week
Cutting the cake and finding out that my precious baby is a girl at the party!!! Also, the 3D sonogram on Wednesday was sooo fun! Casey & I love seeing her on the screen move around! So neat. I am blessed to have a husband who goes to every appointment with me and seems just as interested as me! I am also so blessed to have gotten 4 sonograms in only 4 appointments. My doctor is so nice and caring, and I am lucky to have gotten a 3D sono for FREE!

Gender
Girl!!!!!

Movement
I have felt movement more this week - some while I was laying in bed and then more when I was in the movie last night.

Food Craving
Caesar Salad, fruit (especially apples), and popcorn and jalapenos!!

Sleep
Some nights sleep is good and sometimes I can't get comfortable and wake up with a very sore back. Still using the pregnancy pillow and it helps some.

What I am looking forward to
buying baby furniture & beginning to clear out the baby's room

Symptoms
sore back and that's it!
