6 Chix Reunion

Tonight was our annual 6 Chix Christmas dinner! We have met at Christmastime since we were in high school to exchange presents and now to catch up! I hope we continue this tradition for many years to come!

Here is a picture that Rachel came up with! I like it! We need to do this every year when one of us is pregnant :)

 During dinner
With our gifts - we do an exchange with stealing and such and this what we all ended up with!
Rachel got a cute sign (that I actually own myself and so does Amanda:), I got a $10 Starbucks gift card, and Amanda got this cute crocheted ear warmer (like a beanie, but without the top)
Crystal got the Olive Garden gift card and Lauren got the ornament that I had made! It says 6 Chix and it has all of our names on the bears' hats :)
Time for our photo op - Jordan was there to take pictures when he picked up Rachel :)
Have you noticed that we are all wearing gray?! We did not plan it! I promise!
Kristin couldn't make it this year so we took a picture showing that we missed her!!
Until next year ladies! (Unless we can make this a semi-annual thing;)

Love you girls!!

The Legacy Lives On!

Recently I was on facebook looking at a girl's profile and pictures. The girl goes to GCA (my alma mater) and had facebooked me. I don't really know her, but she was a middle school cheerleader when I was a senior, so we had camps together and stuff. Well I was browsing through her homecoming pictures (homecoming week was always a fun time, so I was reminiscing!), and I came across a few pictures of her with her friends.

You see, when I was a junior, my friends and I came up with the idea to get t-shirts made for homecoming that said "The Six Chix," and we put our names on the back with the number "04" (the year we were to graduate). Our senior year we made another shirt that said the same thing! Since then, we still all get together from time to time! For the first 3 years of college we even met at PF Chang's every Christmas to exchange gifts (we didn't do it this year because my wedding was during Christmas so we saw each other a lot)!

Anyway, when I saw this girl's pictures I was surprised to see that she and her five friends had made shirts for homecoming as well. Guess what they said...that's right, you guessed it, "The Six Chix!" Ha ha. I guess our legend lives on girls! :)

Here we were our junior year on homecoming day!
This is me, Kristin, Crystal, Rachel, Lauren, and Amanda!
This was the night before at Tailgate Party that we always have the night before the big game!
The backs of our shirts!
The new Six Chix!! They seem to have body guards too :)

Another pair of shirts that they made!

I couldn't find the pictures from our senior year with our second shirt, but I still have both of the shirts in my closet! :) Ha ha. Love you girls!

Amanda's Bachelorette Party!

Tonight was Amanda's bachelorette party! It was a lot of fun! We went to Simply Fondue on Greenville in Dallas. I LOVE Simply Fondue. Casey & I have been there on several occasions, and I love it every time. My table got dessert for dinner! We had the Swirl chocolate fondue (which is milk chocolate and white chocolate together) yum! They added some new dipping items--rice crispy treat and a brownie. Those were good, but my favorite is still the cake! :) It was a lot of fun laughing with the girls and catching up. I always have so much fun with them! We should hang more often girlies! Love y'all! And congrats Amanda!!! It's pretty much here now! :)

Me with the Future Mrs. Amanda Sandlin!

Crystal and I roasting our marshmallows!

They have never lit the chocolate on fire before so this was my first time to roast marshmallows over fondue!

I caught mine on fire-it tasted good! :)

Our entire table!

The six chix :)

It was a good night! I am excited for the wedding! This will be my first time to be a bridesmaid! Yea!
