Baby #2 Week: 31!

Week 31

Baby Changes: This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

Best moment this week: My baby shower!! My wonderful hostesses, Ginni, Alycia, & Kristen planned a wonderful and super cute shower for Dayton & I! It was full of cute decorations and yummy food! I got many generous gifts from our family & friends! :)

Gender: Boy! Dayton Lee Coats :)

Movement: Dayton kicks me all day and all night ;)

Food cravings: Some days I'll randomly crave meat…some days I'll randomly crave something "fresh"… some days I just want chocolate ;)

What I am looking forward to: next week Casey & Charlie are putting up the board and batten on the nursery wall - can't wait to seen how it turns out!!

Symptoms: acid reflux is getting worse ;( It even happens when I'm sitting up now, so that's a bummer! Back pain has actually gotten a little better and some nights I sleep almost all the way through without having to use the bathroom, but other nights I get up 4-5 times!!! I really love waking up in the morning and knowing that I only got up once, haha. Makes me feel better rested.

At my last doctor's appointment (Monday, October 22nd) my blood pressure 110/68 and I had lost 1lb. in the last 2 weeks now weighing 133lbs. Dayton's heart rate was 138.

Here's my 31 week picture!

Week 35

Week 35 - only 5 weeks left to go!

Fruit/Veggie/Item
weight of a honeydew melon

Size
over 18 inches long and 5 1/4 pounds!

Baby Changes (Source: www.babycenter.com)
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Best Moment this Week
I had my first baby shower on Saturday and maternity pictures on Thursday! My baby shower was absolutely stunning, and I had 6 amazing hostesses that made it a beautiful event and a wonderful time! I am a lucky girl! :)

Gender
Miss Sawyer Grace Coats<3

Movement
I can tell she is running out of room because she is still kicking but there is definitely less big movement now. I wonder how she will move around for the next 5 weeks?!

Food Craving
icecream still (with milk, cookies, and chocolate syrup) Yum! :)

Sleep
really sleepy all the time thanks to having to get up several times in the night to use the restroom…also I wake up really hot and sweaty. I am thinking I am going to have to crank up the air conditioning while we sleep because we already have the fan on high!

What I am looking forward to
getting the pictures back from our maternity shoot!!! Also, my next shower is April 2 (my birthday)!

Symptoms
swollen feet and hands, using the restroom wayyy too many times (day & night), feeling hotter than normal, and acid reflux!

Weight
I had my doctor's appointment on Tuesday and so far I have gained 28 lbs! I have only gained a pound in the last 2 weeks which I thought was crazy because I feel like I look a lot bigger.

To Do

  • -rearrange/settle nursery furniture after glider/ottoman is recovered (I bought a glider/ottoman from a friend, repainted it, and now am waiting to get the cushions back with their new light pink fabric!) - check! ~ I got the chair cushions back tonight and they look great! I also got my own baby rocking chair recovered and it looks very cute :)
  • -scrapbook my pregnancy
  • -continue filling out Sawyer's baby book
  • -hang Sawyer's curtain and things on the wall in the nursery - check!
  • -get both cars detailed and washed - got myself a new car that is as clean as it gets, so unless it gets dirty, one car is done!
  • -install car seat base in my car
  • -clean out the garage - check!
  • -wash Sawyer's sheets and clothes
  • -get carpet cleaned at home
  • -have garage sale
  • -pack hospital bag :)

  • -put pack-n-play together - check ~ Casey!
  • -hang up all baby clothes
  • -hang things on nursery wall

I'm not a big fan of this picture…it was taken in the morning and I think I look funny. Oh well. Here's my week 35 picture!

Packin' Up!

Time to update! Not much has been going on lately. Casey and I have begun packing for our move. We are still supposed to close on our house on the 18th and hope to move in the weekend after that. I have the week of Thanksgiving off so moving in the weekend before that works out perfectly! I will have some time to paint and unpack. Casey and I have decided that we are going to go to Austin on Thanksgiving afternoon and try to get a couple of tickets to the A&M/UT game! We have been able to do that before so we are thinking that we might be able to again. Wish us luck on that!
These are some pictures of our Halloween weekend. We went over to Charlie & Ginni's to hang out with them and some other couples and pass out candy to the kiddos. It was good fun. The boys played with the wii pretty much the whole time while we girls made candy, caramel, and chocolate apples! Very yummy! Then, the next day I went with my mom to Laura's baby shower. It was very cute and girly :) Here are some pics of that weekend!
