Baby Dayton in 3D!

We got a fun 3D/4D sonogram today of baby Dayton! He had his feet covering his face most of the time, but he finally moved them for a second so that we could see his cute little lips & nose :)

We can't wait to meet you Dayton!! :)

Baby #2: Week 30!

Week 30 - can't believe there's only 10 official weeks left! If Dayton shows up as early as Sawyer then there's only 8 weeks left! AHHH!

Baby Changes: Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Best moment this week: My mom took me shopping for some pretty, winter maternity clothes! I wasn't this big in the winter when I was pregnant with Sawyer so many of my shirts just weren't going to cut it. Some of them were already too small. Now I have something cute to wear to my outdoor October baby shower & my friend Laura's outdoor November wedding:)

Gender: Boy!! Dayton :)

Movement: he moves constantly and feels huge!

Food cravings: actually been craving some meat these days, haha

What I am looking forward to: my baby shower is next weekend, but I'm also looking forward to getting stuff put up in the nursery! :)

Symptoms: not getting much sleep at night due to general discomfort, acid reflux, & back pain

Here is my 30 week belly pic! :)

Sawyer Grace at 1.5 Years Old!

She's 18 months old!!! AHH! Can't believe it. She'll only be 20 months when baby brother arrives so time feels like it is passing very quickly now!!
Here's a little recap of the last month :)

Sawyer cracks us up while any football game is on the TV - she yells "ball" over and over and holds out her hands as if we are supposed to go into the TV, retrieve the football for her, and hand it over.
  • She does the same thing with babies…when she sees one or hears one crying she says, "baby" all sweet and holds out her hand to hold them.
  • Sawyer has hit an all-time attachment-high to her momma. She wants me to hold her if possible and will not go to anyone else without a struggle if I am around. It's sweet, but also tiring. ;) She doesn't do it at home if it's just the two of us, only if someone else is around. Casey drops her off in the nursery because if I do it, she will, without a doubt, cry!
  • Sawyer has finally started wearing clothes for her age… she is in size 3 diapers and 18 month clothes! She wears a 4 or 5 shoe, just depending on the shoe.
  • She is 32 inches tall (we measured her on her growth chart in her room on her 18 month birthday)…I'm guessing she's still around 21 pounds.
  • She has 16 big ole teeth. Haha.
  • Sawyer identifies her…mouth, teeth, nose, eyes, ears, hair, belly button, toes, shoes, and hair bow. She is also kind of obsessed with my belly button and constantly tries to lift my shirt to poke it…maybe because it is sticking way out there these days…haha!
  • Sawyer is a dancer! The girl loves to get down to some good tunes. ;)
  • We kind of slacked on potty training because she got sick, but she knows to go get on the potty when she needs to "poo poo" and will sit on it with her clothes on. Haha. Also, if it's not around, she'll tell us afterwards that she went. She will even run to her room for her diaper to be changed.
  • Sawyer gives her babies kisses and gives momma & daddy kisses too. While we were at the cabin she even gave her cousin Caleb a kiss! ;) She likes to hug and gives other little boys and girls hugs when told to :)
  • Sawyer is still obsessed with Elmo and finds him and has 2 favorite books with Elmo in them. She can point to dogs, balls, and other objects in the books that she knows, too. She will sometimes point to a man and say "da da!" haha.
  • If I talk about Casey to someone when she is around she will say "da da" even though I have said "Casey." Smart girl! She has no idea that I have a name other than "momma" though ;)
  • Sawyer's bedtime is 8pm-8am and usually (unless sick) she sleeps really well for those 12 hours plus a 2 or 3 hour nap around 11am-2pm.
  • Sawyer loves to carry things around in buckets or bags…one of her favorite toys is a little bucket full of shapes that she takes around the house. She also likes the new alphabet magnets on the side of the fridge!
  • Sawyer says over 30 words now and learns a new one close to everyday. We are definitely in the "vocabulary boom!"
